Tom graduated from Benedictine College in 1972 with a major in Accounting and worked in several industries before joining the public accounting arena in 1985. In 1996, Tom launched his own CPA practice, working with individuals and small businesses. Drawing on his previous experience as Controller of a specialty construction business, he became a recommended specialist for the construction industry. Upon the sale of his firm to Steve M Rutherford, CPA, he became the Chief Financial Officer of a construction business that did projects throughout the United States. After his retirement from that business, Tom consults with SFS working primarily with Contractor financial statements and business tax work.
